This year I will challenge my vertical capacity while climbing for a cause! I will be participating in this year’s Climbathon to break down barriers and open up a conversation about gynecological cancers.

Specifically, I’m going to hike the North Face Trail with friends and family while raising money to help end women’s cancers. It can be a tough subject to approach, but the more informed we are, the easier it is to take the steps necessary to take care of our health.

The Alyeska Climbathon is a 10-hour multi-lap, all day event where climbers run/speed hike/walk up the approximately 2.2 mile North Face Trail (2,000 vertical feet) then descend on the Alyeska Resort Tram to complete a lap.

This is my first year and I am dedicating it to my mom and every other woman I know that has dealt with cancer!
